All about Zakynthos

In the courtyard of the church of Panagoula, there is a marble bust of the historian Panagiotis Chiotis (1814 - 1896), the work (1995) of the sculptor Konstantinos Dikefalos (1956 - ). The bust was unveiled on 15 December 1996, and its construction was carried out on the initiative of a seven-member committee set up in order to raise awareness among Zakynthians and pro-Zakynthians so that the necessary funds could be found for its construction.
